I'll assume you mean Titan, one of the moons of Saturn. It was named Titan because John Hershel, in 1847, decided that simply numbering the satellites of Saturn was insufficient, and he started naming them after the Titans (as Jupiter's moons were named after figures connected to Zeus). Since Titan was the first moon discovered. Officially, Titan is named Saturn VI.
