From what I've seen during the development of this game, it didn't state if it would be an open map game. The gameplay was going to be more fast paced combat, focusing more on weaponry and skills than lightsabers and Force powers on the more Jedi/Sith-centric previous Star Wars games. The feel was also going to be a bit grittier than previous entries in this universe. However, development of this game ended when LucasArts was closed by Disney, and most of its staff laid off.
