The Timorese people risked life and limb helping Australian soldiers during WW2 and in the end sold the Timorese out in a clandestine deal with the Indonesians, however the behavior of the Indonesians in the field soon put Australia behind the moral 8 ball and we came to their aid with the blessing of the UN.
