well to put a smile on kids and sometimes grown ups faces but heros went through hard times example for instance the x men in the beginnig had some racial things in their comics and violent content like one of the best in the world Stan lee did a cowboy comic so the main charactar shot a dude piles of smoke came out so Stan lee sent the comic but they sent it back because because it was to violent so he had to redraw it and make the bullet and smoke smaller so if you read that comic that's what Happend
