In the great war that happened in runescape's long past history, the forces of good were headed by the 6 "barrows" brothers. A stranger sold them special suits of armor in return for an unseen price, their souls. After their push into the forces of Zamorak, the price was extracted and they fell in battle. Without their most powerful warriors, the forces of good were forced to retreat. Without having the time for proper funerals, they did the best they could with building large graves, or barrows. The six brothers will forever be bound to their graves because of their souls being sold to the stranger. In their hasty decision to gain power, they sold their souls and their everlasting peace.
