Rural communities are composed of smaller population densities and different lifestyles. Many rural communities still rely on farming to sustain themselves.
They were more similar to nomadic communities because they had a need of continious movement to different continents. They weren't settled.
Farming societies rely primarily on agriculture for their livelihood, cultivating crops and domesticating animals. In contrast, pastoral societies depend largely on herding animals for sustenance, moving them to different grazing areas. Farming tends to be more sedentary, while pastoralism involves more nomadic lifestyles.

The development of farming allowed societies to transition from nomadic lifestyles to settled communities, paving the way for the rise of civilizations. Farming provided a stable food supply, leading to population growth, specialization of labor, and technological advancements. It also allowed for the establishment of social structures, economic systems, and permanent settlements, shaping the foundations of modern society.
Farming likely developed independently in multiple regions, such as the Fertile Crescent, China, Mesoamerica, and the Andes, around 10,000 years ago. It spread through a combination of migration, trade, and cultural diffusion, as people passed on their knowledge of agriculture to neighboring communities. The domestication of plants and animals played a key role in the agricultural revolution, enabling societies to shift from hunter-gatherer lifestyles to settled agricultural communities.
Settled farming communities began to develop in Egypt and Nubia around 5000 B.C.
Africa, Hunter, and India are all the places I know that farming communities appeared. Hope this helps!! 😋
