I believe only kings and officials were preserved as mummies because they had a higher ranking than the peasants and the priests and scribes. they deserved to be mummified
there viewpoint on that was because they jujujujuju
There were several places. The most famous are the Egyptian pyramids, but only a small minority of (royal) mummies were put to rest there. Most were buried in the Valley of the Kings in Egypt, in subterranean graves dug out in the rock. Non-royal mummies were interred in dug-out tombs elsewhere. Mayan and Inca mummies have been found in caves high in the mountains where the cold climate preserved them.
mummies were made by the egyptians. skilled artisans made mummies, and they were supervised by government officials llike priests. not only did the rich get mummifedUsually Ancient Egyptian preists were the only ones aloud to mummify, with the supervision of the god Anubis (God of Enbalming)They are called Embalmers
Even ordinary citizens are mummified... also, mummies cannot be only applied to egyptians. Bog mummies are the best preserved mummies out there--even better than Egyptian mummies because with bogs, we can easily recreate how the person looks like or even what the person last ate before he/she died. It's pretty cool! check it out!
About 3,000 years ago Egyptians preserved the bodies of the dead in a process called mummification. There is not an exact year recorded that the process began.
Lay investiture is (was) the appointment of bishops and other church officials by non-church authorities, like the feudal lord. the appointment of church officials by kings and nobles rather than by the pope
No. In fact, there are more mummies in Peru than there are in Egypt.
They wrapped up their mummies to protect them. The Egyptians believed in only the after life. They also were wrapped because they used to only be buried in sand and they believed that no one ever dies they can feel everything so they didn't want the faces to get covered. People were also buried with their belongings. So when they buried their cats they would also bury a mummified mouse in case the cat got hungry.
Mummies were wrapped in bandages because then only could the body be properly preserved. Also because the body was not to be seen by others besides the person or people that are mummifying the body.
Mummies that were pharaohs or otherwise royalty were buried with gold masks. Some mummies did not even get a tomb, because they were not wealthy enough to afford them.
