It was a 'chicken and egg' situation. One side's soldiers were in the trenches to stop the other side's soldiers in their trenches from getting any advantage,.
their poo, the person next to them's poo and eventually, the person next to them
There was fleas in both ww1 and ww2 they they lived in the clothes and in the shoes of the men, they feed on the dead skin cells of the solders.
· Fighting occurred a lot in the trenches as they did not know when the enemy would attack so they were always on their guard. They had people doing night and day shifts so solders could sleep.it was terrible noplayboy for 7 mounths :'(
Letters from loved ones such as family or girlfriends/wives/fiances, Probably a few small valuable treasures which meant something to them, maybe a bit of chocolate because it was so scarce in the trenches, etc..
2,390 solders were killed!
A lot.
117.000 solders died
it was pretty much a dead lock because of trench warfare. neither side could progress forward. trench warfare was when two countries dig trenches and have solders live in the trenches (which were filled with cold muddy water) and just shoot at each other when other side tries to cross "no mans land" or the space between the trenches. people also got trench foot from standing in the water 24/7. overall trench warfare was very deadly and there was never a winner.
Infected solders
A deep cut into the ground deep enough to help protect solders. lined with barbed wire. Machine gun nests and areas for men to post up and shoot. Some were very intricate with secondary trenches and dug out rooms, others very narrow. Full of dead and living solders, guns, Vermin (rats, mice, bugs) typically also full of Mud (read about trench foot)
coninental trenches are trenches that go across countries...i think
Trenches are caused by plate movement.
