In the early church, they had what they called "love feasts," where the church would come together and eat a large meal together. They also took the Lord's Supper (communion) during these feasts. The problem that developed was that some people would leave these feasts hungry and some would leave drunk, because they had drunk too much wine at the feast. Paul rebuked them for this behavior, and told them to eat and drink at home and not bring shame on the church by some of them not having enough to eat, and some of them leaving drunk. We are not supposed to get drunk, as Christians, nor are we to allow some Christians to go hungry while some of us have abundant amounts of food.

Christians strongly believe that their religion is the one true religion. Some Christians also believe that they have a duty to convert followers of all other religions, to Christianity. For some, there may even be a sense that it is in some way irrational for others not to convert readily to Christianity, when told what Christians believe. Also, it is a requirement among certain minor Christian sects and denominations for young adults to spend up to two years attempting to convert others.
