It was poor organization and no one in control of the situation.
No . The Titanic was made of iron, a fact that hastened its sinking when it hit an iceburg in 1912 off the coast of Ireland, bound for the United States. Although Maydays were sent out, no ship responded in time to help the passengers who perished. There were not nearly enough lifeboats for the passengers aboard
The importance of Capt. Smith was not just his actions, but also his example. The night of the sinking of Titanic, Capt. Smith was proactive on everything. He had the ship examined several times for confirmation, he promptly ordered lifeboats prepared, calls for help sent out, and an array of other important actions.
Last message sent from Titanic: "We are sinking fast. Passengers being put into boats."
Yes. Arthur Rostron, the captain of the Carpathia, was well aware that he was headed into an ice field. He nonetheless sent every ounce of steam to the engines (shutting off the heat and other less critical utilities) in order to reach greater than full speed in order to come to the Titanic's rescue. They were about 58 miles away when the Titanic first sent out a distress signal, so speed became very important. The level of danger was exactly the same as what Titanic had faced, so Rostron prepared for this by having every crew member on the deck and on the lookout for icebergs, as well as the Titanic's lifeboats.
The first distress signal was sent out from Titanic at 12:27 AM ship's time.

They got on to lifeboats, and were then rowed to the Carpathia, which went to America, but 3/4 of the people on board Titanic, mainly men, lost their lives, either by drowning or by frostbite, because the temperature was -2 (celsius), and the water was probably much colder, so they would have frozen to death. The only way anybody survived Titanic was to get seats on any of the lifeboats leaving the ship.

The Titanic sank at 2:22 AM and the Carpathia arrived near dawn that morning, so about three to four hours. But it was another hour or so before the last lifeboat was rescued. It took 4 hours for the first ship to arrive to assist with the rescue operation.
i am pretty sure 11 ice warnings were sent
