Steel armor (helmets and breastplates), steel edged weapons (swords, daggers, pikes, and halberds), gunpowder weapons (cannon and muskets), armored knights on gigantic warhorses, and gigantic bull mastiff dogs trained to rip a man apart. It was a classic case of quality over quantity. * Scandinavians clashed with American natives three centuries earlier, but their technological advantage was not as great as the Spanish (iron weapons and armor instead of steel, and no guns, horses, or dogs) and they were driven away. * Superstition was also a factor. The natives believed that the Spanish were supernatural beings, as they brought many things which the natives had not seen before. For instance, when a knight dismounted from his horse, the natives assumed that the horse and knight were a magic creature capable of separating itself in two.

Because Christopher Columbus said that " One man could command one village with a gun" Or something like that and then the King and the Queen did solitary trips and something and because native Americans had not so good weapons and the Spanish army had guns and swords and better weapons so the native Americans were a piece of cake.
