There are many artifacts of overweight female figures but none of male figures. Perhaps this indicates a worship of the mother figure. It may be because peoples lived off of the Earth during these periods. It may have to do with the ability of females to bear babies. There were significantly fewer people during those times. It isn't clear when the shift went to patriarchal dominance. It isn't even clear what the motives were. Certainly by the time of recorded history male dominance was widely accepted.
