are you getting fuel past the fuel filter. do you have spark at the spark plugs
How do you change a fuel filter in a 1997 Honda Prelude
The 4th generation Prelude from 92 to 96, doesn't have cabin air filter installed. However it is possible to modify a filter from 5th gen Prelude, but is not an easy task.
A 1989 Prelude SI FI that will not start in the mornings until you keep trying could mean that your air filter needs to be replaced. A dirty air filter could result in starting problems.
The air filter in all the new mustangs are not permanent and should be checked or replaced every 15,000 miles
follow fuel lines from fuel tank towards engine. there should be an inline filter along the chassis rails somewhere. find and replace that filter and see if that solves the problem
How do i take the fuel filter off my honda prelude si 1989
It depends. Usually they should be checked when you do your regular 3K oil change. If the filter is dirty--a dark gray--then it should be replaced.
Cars need maintenance to work their best. Every 3,000 to 5000 miles the oil and oil filter needs changed. The air-filter, power steering fluid, and fuel filter need to be checked and replaced ever 15,000 to 30,000 miles. The spark plugs and battery should be checked and replaced every 40,000 miles while the brake pads, brake fluid, timing belt, tires, and power steering fluid should be checked and replaced every 60,000 miles.
Various reasons: air filter that needs to be replaced regularly, oil and filter that needs to be replaced regularly, fuel lines are clogged, spark plugs that should be replaced, hoses in need of replacement, tires not inflated to optimum pressures, and engine valves that may need adjustment from time to time.
Think fuel filter. If that hasn't been replaced, do that first....inexpensive, but even if this ISN'T the problem, it still needs to be replaced periodically! If replacing the filter doesn't help, you should consider taking it to a garage and getting your fuel-pressure checked. If the pressure is low (and you've replaced the filter!), then your problem is the fuel pump. If I were a betting man.....fuel filter.
first replace the fuel filter. they should be changed about twice a year. I'm not sure where it may be located. if that doesn't fix the problem. you need to have the fuel pump checked to see if it is putting out the correct fuel pressure. if not it obviously needs to be replaced. if the fuel pump is good and the filter is good/replaced. have the injectors checked. these are the most common issues to be checked first. i wish i could be more helpfull.
Whats next to check on my 1990 Chevy 7.0 for fuel not getting to carb. I have replaced fuel filter and 10 amp fuse?
According to a web based filter company, they noted that the transmission has to be dismantled to replace the filter.
you dont there's no filter trans flush only
On a 1991 Honda Prelude 2.1SI, the Oil Sensor is located slightly above the Oil Filter.
You do not clean any fuel filter you just replace it. If it has a filter in the tank it is a permanent filter that is only replaced when the pump is replaced.
The filter is inside the transmission and must be took apart to change the filter.
the oil filter is located on the back side of the block in the middle
On the fire wall. Behind the motor.
It should be located behind the glove box.
Just behind the glove box. Check a prelude forum or a repair manual for detailed instructions.
check your air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs and wires, and O2 sensor. it is probably one of them.
The fuel filter is a permanent filter located inside the fuel tank. It is only replaced when the pump is replaced.
Change the fuel filter and have the cat convertor checked out
The Honeywell filter should be replaced every 8- 12 months or as needed.
