Hi,
I have a Sony Vaio 2012 edition I think and it was working perfectly fine, and still is.. but it just will not accept CD's! It accepts DVD's and I can watch films perfectly, but when i insert a CD into the drive it spins and just stops. I've tried to get around this by using another laptop to extract the music files from a CD and then use a memory stick to try to get them onto my laptop but my laptop refuses to recognise the files as music and will not play them. I'm pretty sure there isn't an issue with the drive, because as I said DVD's run perfectly.. its just CD's and music files that it refuses to accept. Any ideas on what the problem is would be greatly appreciated. thanks :)
Some computers (like mine) dont play dvds or games such as Sims or Zoo Tycoon. They only play CDs.
Only books, cds and dvds
Yes their is more cds than DVDs
Load NERO in your laptop and it will give you the option to burn both CD or DVD..
4 to 3
DVDs look just like CDs, maybe you are getting them mixed up, or putting them in upside down. Or possibly the CD player is broken.
The Playstation does not play DVDs only CDs
I would shop at FYI if I was you :) They have many selections of CDs and DVDs there.
Aluminum.
That is a DVD burner. Most read and write to CDs as well as DVDs. Hybrid drives that read/burn CDs but only read DVDs also exist.
