Because they want to attract more people to the series of halo.
Because many people, including myself, really love the Universe. Halo has 10 million fans who just play the games. Then you got the ones like myself who play the games, read the novles, read the comics, or anything Halo. Halo has generated $2.8 billion. The Franchise is Legendary. It's like this generations Star Wars. Not to mention how important Halo is to Microsoft. I want the Franchise to go on forever.

it depends on what you like, Halo 3 is a first person shooter while Halo Wars is a Real Time Strategy (like Age of Empires or Warcarft) personally i think Halo 3 is better, the only reason i play Halo Wars is to see another view of the Halo universe.

Yes and no. You do not need Halo 3 to play ODST. And you do not need to have played Halo 3 to play ODST. It is an expansion of the Halo storyline. I happens concurrently. No its not this is not an expansion of the story this is just another part of the story.... so basically whats happening in the game halo 3 is happening at the same time as whats happening in halo 3 odst.... They are just two different battle fields. ODST are not Spartans either they are like elite marines Halo 3 odst is between halo 2 and halo 3.

No only for the xbox (the first 2 are made for the xbox when halo odst, halo 3 , and halo reach are for the xbox 360)
