most common cause is a burned out light bulb, if not the bulb, check fuses and stop light switch
because it is the signal to stop
You have a turn signal light-bulb out .
Turn off the lights! ;)
When making a left turn at a traffic light without a green arrow, you should approach the intersection in the left lane and stop at the stop line. If the light is red, you must wait for the light to turn green unless there is a sign allowing a left turn on red from the one-way street. It is legal to enter the intersection to wait for a safe turn, provided you do not block oncoming traffic or cross over the stop line when the light is red. Always yield to oncoming traffic and pedestrians before completing your turn.
You likely have a frayed wire to the stop light.
turn the light off
Normally a Red "stop" light requires the car to come to a stop and it can only proceed FORWARD if the light changes to green Or if it is a blinking Red light then they can proceed when traffic clears the intersection. Right Turn on Red allows you to come to a complete stop and then proceed to turn Right if the traffic allows. This allows you to proceed even though you do not have a Green light.
A right turn is protected here, and no stop is needed.
Set a timer for a bright light to turn on simultaneously with your alarm.
You can make a turn on a red light after coming to a complete stop and ensuring it is safe to do so, unless there is a sign indicating otherwise.
You must still come to a complete stop. Even if there is a flashing red light you must stop.
Check the operation and alignment of the stop light switch
