Probably need to replace the window regulator.
Window lock switch is out change the master switch.
I wouls suspect the passenger side switch is defective. Salvage yard is a good source for this part.
All the models that are double cab have a roll down back window.
The directions are in your manual. Roll the window down, roll the window up, release the button then hold it up for two seconds, roll the window down, release the button then hold it down for two seconds. Repeat that for each window.
my car has the same problem only with the passenger side window.....for me it was simply missing a plastic piece that fell off and i lost it try opening the panel and compair it to your passenger side and make sure it is all connected the same way
Okay, I figured this out myself and am answering for future people. Take both of the rubber tracks that are inside the doors out (the rear comes out, just lay it in the door, while the front one just unclips and moves forward.) Roll the window mechanism all the way down, get the front roller in the window track, and then push the window all the way forward (this is why you took the track out) so you can get the rear roller into the window track. If one of those rollers comes out of its door track then roll the window all the way up and you can get it back in.
If the passenger side window of your 1990 New Yorker won't roll down, start by checking the fuse related to the power windows, as a blown fuse can cause this issue. If the fuse is fine, inspect the window switch for any signs of damage or wear. You may also need to check the wiring and connections within the door panel for any disconnections or short circuits. If these steps don't resolve the problem, the window motor may need to be replaced.
Yes
relay or window module
If your vehicle indicates "door ajar" when you attempt to roll down the passenger window, it may be due to a faulty door sensor or switch that is incorrectly detecting that the door is open. This can prevent the window from functioning properly as a safety feature. Check to ensure the door is securely closed, and inspect the door latch and wiring for any issues. If the problem persists, you may need to consult a mechanic for further diagnosis.
