If your Nissan 240sx won't go into reverse, it could be due to several issues. Common causes include a low Transmission Fluid level, a worn-out clutch, or a problem with the transmission linkage. Additionally, if the transmission itself is damaged or there are internal mechanical issues, this could prevent it from engaging reverse. It's advisable to have a mechanic diagnose the problem to determine the exact cause.
If your 93 Nissan Maxima will not go into reverse at all, your transmission is either getting ready to go out or you are low on transmission fluid. You should check your transmission fluid first before messing with the actual transmission.

What would cause the 1995 Nissan Pathfinder not to go in forward or reverse?
Replace the window regulator
Electrical - check voltage to "reverse" selonid. With my knowledge on Nissans, it could also be a transmission problem. If it is a 5-speed, it is more than likely the tranny. Reverse is the gear that goes out first most of the time
BY getting an Honda all your problem will go away Aman.
why reverse wont go in on 2004 town car
NO, to pass smog test, it all needs to be original
I just read another persons witing on another site about this. He was having the same problem I am with his Pathfinder. We all wont go in reverse. His turned out to be the solenoids.
Nope. go to a junk yard (pick your part, ecology, etc.) they will have one.
you can get it from a junkyard for like 5 bucks, any 240sx window motor will work. dont go to a dealer because I went and they tried to charge $100.
Had the same problem. Nissan covers this for the life of the vehicle, go to the dealer and let them replace the vehicle restraint system.
