Probably because your not playing with it enough, or giving it the attention it needs. or maybe your tamagotchi is overweight. dont let it go over weight or else it will take longer for it to evolve. if it's in toddler stage, that stage will take the longest and the hardest, because so much needs to be done.

it depends if you look after it really well it Will grow quite quickly if you don't look after it very well like if its sick and you wont cure it it will take ages my tamagotchi is 9yrs old and has 2 baby's on the screen with him and i have only had it for a year also it has grandparents parents and also the kings phone number ( sweet!! )
