Because it has so many separate links and slices (top) that the PSP cannot load it with the memory space that comes with the PSP. It's simply not advanced enough.
If its a psp game, it will run on any psp system (providing its not faulty). If its not a psp game, it wont work on the psp.

Yes the psp 1000 has a fatter battery than the other two models. the fat battery will work on psp 2000 and 3000 but the battery cover wont close.
perhaps your psp has a lower firmwire version.
Double check the PSP's UMD drive works by testing it with another game. Also check the other PSP's firmware is fully updated.

I don't know how to watch videos on the Internet on a Psp but some websites allow you download videos to the Psp but you can go downloads.nl to download music but other websites probably wont work like beemp3.com doesn't work for some reason.
