My vehical has been sitting in the garage it has a good running engine, but it has been rear ended. I decided too jump start it,it would not take a jump start. I notice that there was a wiring connect to the positive cable leading from, to a clear see through box, then it went to some wear I did not look to see.
Why come my 1995 Eldorado Casdilac Wont take a full jump start. It will light up the interia lights and things like that but when I disconnect the cable it go dead completely.

The jump procedure depends on the age of the Cadillac. The older cars allow the jumper cables to be connected directly to the battery. Some newer cars can be damaged if the cables are connected properly. Check the vehicles owners manual for the proper way to jump start the specific year Cadillac.
It would depend on the condition of the battery and if the battery charger has a jump start mode.
as long as you place the positive to the positive and the negative to the frame of the car with the good battery, you can jump start any car.

To jump-start a Cadillac ATS, first ensure both vehicles are turned off. Connect the positive (red) jumper cable to the positive terminal of the dead battery, then attach the other end to the positive terminal of the working battery. Next, connect the negative (black) jumper cable to the negative terminal of the working battery and attach the other end to a grounded metal surface on the Cadillac ATS, away from the battery. Start the working vehicle, then attempt to start the ATS.

To charge the battery in a 2005 Cadillac, first ensure the vehicle is off and locate the battery, which is typically found in the trunk or under the hood, depending on the model. Connect the positive (red) jumper cable to the positive terminal of the battery and the other end to a charged battery or a jump starter. Then, connect the negative (black) jumper cable to the negative terminal of the charged battery and attach the other end to a grounded metal surface on the Cadillac. Start the charging vehicle or jump starter, and let it charge for a while before attempting to start the Cadillac.
