You need to manually prime all the fuel systems. In a normally asperated engine, this may require repeated pumping of the throttle to make this happen. In electronic fuel systems the only way to "recharge" the fuel system is via proper pressure from the fuel pump to the combustion chambers. You might try pumping the throttle with the ignition key turned to the "run" position. Cranking the engine will not get the fuel into the chambers any sooner.
