They have cable driven regulators. Over time the cables either break, or get bound up which breaks the plastic pully. You need to replace the regulator. I have replaced my drivers door 3 times. Passenger door once, and both rear doors once. It is easier to replace them as an assembly. (Motor and regulator together). If you only do one or the other, it can be difficult to respool the cable to the pully if it should come off.

The power window fuse for a 2002 Oldsmobile Alero is located in the fuse box under the dashboard on the driver's side. To access it, you'll need to remove the cover of the fuse panel. It is on the driver's side (Left) of the trunk. Peel away the carpeting on the upper left side of the trunk and you will see it suspended.
check around your window on that side sometimes they will separateand you will have to have it fixed

The thermostat is located on a 2003 Oldsmobile Alero in the thermostat housing. The thermostat housing is located on the rear side of the engine block.
On a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero with a 4-cylinder engine, the alternator is located on the front side of the engine, near the top, slightly towards the driver's side. It is mounted on the engine block and can be accessed from the top of the engine compartment. You may need to remove the serpentine belt to replace or service the alternator.
