there are many beta diseases you can look up under betta diseases. but sometimes betas won't eat for several days. they sometimes don't eat if they are constipated.
No, probably not. The males would be more likely to kill the females.
yes after mating a female will be tired and hungry and if the male does not run her away she may eat the eggs for energy.
Betta fish do not eat fish.
a male Betta will usually like the company of other fish but will fight or kill others of their kind also they might fight guppies cause they look similar to a female Betta.
No, they will not fight. Bettas are normally a very slow moving, peacefull fish. A male Betta will only fight with another male Betta. The crayfish (depending upon its species) is likely to rip pieces off the Betta and maybe kill and eat it too.
No, probably not. The males would be more likely to kill the females.
Well, if there are any other fish in the aquarium except for the female there is still no chance that the female wont eat some of them. You could separate the male if you wanted but it is good for the baby fish to have a male to protect them, although it still might eat them. It is good if you have a large plant for the baby fish to hide in when the eggs hatch.
You can try to put Guppy fish in with your Betta fish. That would be one of the only fish that i would put in with my Betta fish. I say that because i have a Betta male and he is OKAY with guppies. the first guppy i put in his died to to getting picked on by him but the others did not, so just give him another chance if you decide to get guppies. Hope i helped!
I am not certain but here is some information it will probably die but this will usually happen when your male betta fish is caring for the eggs because the betta is scared it might do an accident and eat one of its eggs instead of the betta foods that you give it
no they will not but they will breed and then the male gets very protective over fry(eggs) so provide a hide for the female like a shelter so the male wont eat her. btw u can keep as many females a tank as u wont its the males u want to be worried about. Brian C
Only female Bettas can be kept together. That too will only work if they are given reasonably roomy conditions and plenty of cover (plants) and hidey holes. Male betta fish can/ will fight to death if there is another male fish in the tank, a male will sometimes eat a female so your best bet is to have a single betta or a female and a female.
they can eat guppies and betta fish the betta fish will put up a fight sometimes they wont eat the fish and just leave the fish there for a tank mate if there is any amount in a tank together but if you put to many big turtles in a tank with little turtles the big ones will eat it
