Why won't your windows movie maker CD play on a different computer?

If you are trying to play a CD that contains Windows Movie Maker project files (MSWMM) it won't work.
MSWMM files can only be opened in the Windows Movie Maker program. And too, you can open a project file on another computer that has Windows Movie Maker either, because you won't be able to see project contents since the 'original source files' used to produce the project are not available (can't be located) on another computer. Therefore the program won't be able to display them.
Before you burn a CD including videos you have created with Windows Movie Maker, you must first Publish/Finish the project in the program. This Publishing/Finishing procedure mixes-down audio and video properties and converts them into Standard format so they can be viewed in media players.
