Dash lights may have problems coming on because there is a problem with the dash fuse. It is important to get a specialist to check the wiring and the fuse status.
You may have a blown fuse.
Probably the dash fuse is blown, or the dimmer switch for the dash lights is bad!
a fuse or fulty wiring the brake lights are useually out the same time as the dash lights if that helps any
First check the dash light dimmer control switch to be sure it is not turned off then check the fuse.
Check the park lamp fuse.
Do the dash lights come on now that you have put in a new fuse...Does the motor rotate or try to turn over....If not, it sounds like you have a bad ignition switch....
there is a short in the relay for the head lights
This can be due to a bad headlight switch. If it goes bad, most of the time you have no dash lights or headlights
The first check would be the fuse for the dash lights. If the dash lights are out too then it is likely to be the fuse.
Most often in a vehicle when an electrical system fails it is due to a break in the electrical lines. In the case of Dash Lights, however, the most common reason is that the light-blub that illuminates the dash has burned out.
In that case, you probably don't have tail lights or clearance lights either.Check the fuses. If that's not it, you may have a faulty light switch.
