The 305 Chevy could not fire for several reasons. The crank sensor could be bad, the coil could have failed or there could be a loss of power to the ignition circuit.
have you checked the fuel gauge itself to make sure it is working
no it wont to small of a starter
modual
Set fire to it!
Its probably your timing chain or belt
V8 swapYes you can. you will have to update the computer and most of the sensors. SOme of them are the same for the v6. The rear axel wont have to be swapped out but it would be a good thing. unless ur out hot rodding it it will last.
why wont anyone answer my damm question i just wont use this web site anymore
Chevy in 1977 changed the rear main oil seal to a one piece seal. the older crankshaft wont work.
Check your crank shaft sensor
fuel pump relay?
if its not that and its not turning then its the starter. if its not that then it can be the spark plug make sure its not wet
it depends if the 86 caprice has a GM small block 305, 327, 350, or 383, and if the c1500 has GM small block v8 it will fit.. all GM/Chevy 305, 327, 350, or 383 engines have the same bolt pattern for all the transmissions and are interchangeable as long as the transmission came off of a 305, 327, 350, or 383 block it will fit those engine sizes, unless the truck is 4X4 than it wont or you would have to eliminate the 4x4, also it could be a possibility the drive shaft could be to long or to short but most trucks have an adjusting drive shaft so you wont have to worry
