The iPhone will not transfer photos to your computer if the device is locked and you are using a passcode. If you want to transfer photos, simply unlock (Slide to unlock and enter passcode) your device to transfer photos.

There is no Narrate feature on Windows Live Movie Maker (which I presume you are using in Windows 7). You will have to use your Windows Sound Recorder to narrate or record voice on. Then import the file into Windows Live Movie Maker.In the 2.6 version of the program (the Vista version), there is a Narrate feature available. But, even that feature is rather persnickety.
