Bad starter motor?
Check the fuel pressure on the Fiero to start with. It sounds like it could be starving for fuel.
Mine wont start because the engine is out on the rebuild stand right now, Yours I have no idea
Because is is like hockey, without the speed and finess
my 88 fiero had two valves stuck, one on cyl 2 and one on cyl 3.. if it would start it was on one or two cyl... or he crank senor might be bad
your brain will shut down, you will go through withdrawls, your whole body will start to shut down without it. Dont do speed
There is no neutral safety switch on a 85 fiero with a manual transmission. There is a clutch pedal switch under the dash. The car will start in any gear, as long as the clutch pedal is depressed.
i tink its about 60 mph
This engine will have seven injectors. 6 are the running injectors and there is a "Cold Start" injector.
Turn key to on position for a minute or so then off. Turn key to start and pump gas. This gives fuel pump time to send gas to engine.
The cold start injector valve on a 1988 Pontiac Fiero is located on the intake manifold, typically near the throttle body. It is designed to provide additional fuel to the engine during cold starts to assist with ignition. To access it, you may need to remove a few components around the intake manifold for better visibility and reach.
IAC mine is doing the same thing and found out it wasn't moving
If you are saying the engine dies as you are coming to a stop, this is a typical GM problem on FWD trannies. Its, in my experience, been a bad TCC solenoid. The dealer will charge anywhere from 300-1000 bucks to fix it, depending if 3 or 4 speed. If you have a 3 speed tranny (No overdrive), then this fix is actually pretty easy, and can be done with the simpliest of tools. http://www.kichline.com/chuck/fiero/TCC.htm Althou the car pictured is a Pontiac Fiero, its the same engine, and transmission, and the process is exactly the same.
