this happened to me before when I would always leave to go to my moms, we would turn it off and the red light would appear. but my dad not knowing that it was off turned the whole system off in the pack. which fried the laser that reads my disc we sent it in to service at the Sony ps3 website and got it back 2 - 3 weeks later.
If your GameCube is not reading discs, this means the disc drive is broken. Even 13 years after release, Nintendo will still repair GameCube consoles - it'll probably just cost you money, as the warranty for your GameCube console has probably long since expired.
It can only take a disc, if one is already in the machine then that is the problem. While this may not be your problem I found that I forgot I had left a disc in my PS3 and wondered what was wrong until I discovered this simple error.
it could be mest up when you got it or you messed it up when you were taking it out
Mine works fine with music cds, dvds and games. The odds are, yours is broken.
Maybe the discs are all scratched because you never put them back in the cases, or your PS2 could be bad.
The most common problem is that the discs have scratches, dust, or have some other material on it That would prevent a clean read from the Wii.
Its Probably because of dust inside the console. If its not that, try using the Recovery Menu. Go on YouTube to find out how to access the Recovery Menu
If it is an older model then it may have trouble reading newer discs. Same thing happens to mine all the time, unfortunately there's no way round it. :(
clean the disk that's in your ps2
Check the disc for scratches and/or clean it. Then check if any other games work, if not, gently swab the disc-reading lens of the PS2 with a cotton bud. If these don't solve the problem something may be wrong with the game or PS2 and you should contact the support team at Sony or ask to get the game exchanged.
That may be a memory card problem or a PS2 problem inside the hard drive
It's dusty, scratched up, or you got a problem with your PS2!
The thinner ones, it reads games better, (read=loads game, to play), and the fat ps2 doesn't read as well as the thinner one, the fat ps2 has more trouble reading a certain game called "rock band" Although the original thin PS2 have a disc reading problem which can be slightly improved if you get some sort hardware "patch" done.
The disc can be professionally cleaned and polished
try it
PS2 are on DVD discs if that is what you mean. Badly scratched Game disc can make the PS2 not know the format, but it is just a bad disc
You do not the Game much be developed for the PS2 by the developers and formatted for the PS2
If it's a PS2 disc then yes
With care not to scratch the disc, if the disc is already scratched the cleaning will not help
PS2 games are on DVDs and not CDs
