Your problem very well could be the hazard switch. i have a 1994 honda civic too i found whenever i disconnected the hazard switch from the wiring harness my turn signals brake lights and of course hazards do not work. Maybe replace the hazard switch..
The switch on the brake pedal is disconnected or defective. The shifter interlock has to get a signal from the switch to know the pedal is being pressed before it will release the shifter.
I have a 1990 Chevy 1500 truck the brakelight switch is disconnected and it has no connector going to it. I replaced all the bulbs. And still my running lights are in the on position when i turn off the truck. My brake lights are still not working after replacing the lights. I have a RV brake accuator also under the steering column can you help me solve my problem?
There is a switch just above the brake pedal that is called the brake stoplight switch. When the brake pedal is released, it stops the brake lights from illuminating. Check to make sure the switch is contacting the brake pedal stop where it should. A short term method of not killing the battery would be to unplug the connector to the switch and get a new one. It won't have brake lights when disconnected so I don't recommend driving with it like that. replace the broken switch
There is a switch on the gear box itself that can go duff, this is where the reversing lights get there signal/power from, if you traced it back I bet you need a new switch on the gear box! not too expensive to fix but you need to be under the car, use ramps and chocks to secure before you do it, or get your local tyre spot to do it for you after you have bought the switch yourself, Citroen would charge you over a hundred to do it??
You have a pressure switch behind the brake pedal. It is either broke, out of adjustment, or disconnected. if it doesn't work you won't have brake lights and you won't get out of park (safety feature).
Faulty bulbs, faulty switch, faulty wiring, disconnected ground.
No braking lights is usually caused by the failure of the switch behind the brake pedal. It's a fairly easy job to replace, but check it isn't a simple fuse failure first
There should be a wire for your day time running lights that goes into the parking brake valve behind the dash, just disconnect the correct wire and they are disconnected. It worked for me on a 07 classic xl.
on the gear box look for wires going to switch
Were is the fuel shut of valve on a Citroen Piasso. Open the bonet and look on the left hand side on the top corner, there is a red push button switch. that is the fuel cutoff switch.
cut the switch off join wires
