Did you change the fuel filter? Have you checked the fuel pressure regulator?
It may be a simple leak-down in the fuel pressure regulator. Sometimes when the pressure regulator leaks there won't be pressure to the injectors when you try to start the engine. It's not a big deal, and certainly not worth spending a lot of money on the problem if it's nothing more than this. Test the idea by turning on the key for a few seconds, turn it off, then try to start the engine. If the pressure regulator is allowing the fuel pressure to leak down, this simple procedure would allow the fuel pump to build pressure BEFORE you try to start the engine. Then when you DO try to start it, hopefully it will fire right up.' Good luck. I hope it works for you.
You put petrol in it, start the engine, and it goes.
sounds like the fuel pressure regulator, which is made into the fuel pump in the tank of most new cars and truck, or you could have dirt in the fuel line, first change the fuel filter, and see if this helps. Need to know if the starter works and cranks the engine but the engine doesn't start at times or if the starter doesn't crank the engine at times. It is not clear.
High pressure is created by an exploding gasoline-air mixture. This pressure pushes the cylinders of the engine down, doing work that moves the car.
The process of elimination works. If you have a check engine light, start there.
Your fuel pump may not be holding pressure, try turning the key on 2 - 3 times before you start the engine (this only works on vehicles electric fuel pumps). If you have an engine with a carb engine get a fuel filter with a check valve and install it. That will keep the fuel from draining out of the carb while it sits.
Have valves adjusted.
I would start by replacing the oil pressure sending unit. If that does not correct the problem, I would look closely at the gage itself. If you hear any valve train noise at cold startup, you need to have an oil pressure test run to make sure you actually have good oil pressure when starting the engine cold. Possibly the gage is correct and you do have 0 oil pressure when cold.
Sometimes. BUT it depends on the sentence you had in mind. Very rarely the sentence works with but as the starting word.
crank/cam sensor issue maybe?
A fuse can cause car to be stuck in park. try this. turn ignition switch on but do not start engine. then put transmission in neutral. then start engine. now try putting in gear. if this works, check your fuses.sometimes after doing this the car can be put in park and will work.doing this will sometimes just reset the switch
its a bad fuel pump. it works enough to keep it running but it isn't putting out enough pressure.
