*** Sorry this does not work- keyless locks work off radio frequencies if it is not in the vicinity of the vehicle it wont work. you can use your cell to unlock.... the person who has the other keys can get on the phone with you and you hold the phone up to the nearest lock while they put the remote up to their phone and push unlock! i don't know if it will work but give it a try!

You should be able to get in the Explorer , lock the doors if you wish , and then start the vehicle . That's what I do on my 1995 Explorer XLT

2005 Jeep Liberty renegade swing gate wont unlock?
Is the key fob on the remote not activating it, or is it that you can't open the swing gate manually? The remote batteries might be shot, if it's not working, or the electric actuator to unlock the door might be bad or loose wiring. The rear window is all that is suppose to actually pop open when you hit the remote, then the swing gate is supposed tp unlock automatically, not pop open also.
