probaly because its an expansion pack. Your gonna need sims 3 first. I know it domb lol . I've been through that, i had sims 3 animations and then it told me i need sims 3 game! i was heated! (which happend today on chrismas lol )

click on the start button. You will probably see the sims 3 or 2 game and shows it uploaded. Click on that and play. don't forget to log out after you play!!!

If sims 2 pets is the latest game you installed in your computer then to make sims 2 work you have to put in the sims 2 pets CD. I had the same problem.. I kept trying to run sims with nightlife but the latest game I had installed was apartment life... ~Always put in the disc of the latest game you installed~
