The most common problem is a bad fuse.
Brakelite switch is probably stuck
on ground or no power, check fuses.
The first check would be the fuse for the dash lights. If the dash lights are out too then it is likely to be the fuse.
Those tail lights could be the brake lights you are seeing and that would be a faulty brake light switch or the brake light switch is out of adjustment.
Check your tail lights they are probably out also. Most domestic cars power the dash lights off of the tail light circuit so you will know when the tail light fuse blows. Check the tail light fuse.
Check the ground wire. You have a bad connection somewhere.
Check the park lamp fuse.
you have a bulb out. go buy a new one and they will start working
check your ground wire in the back
my headlights work but my taillights and dash light dont work whats wrong
If your brake lights are functioning but your tail lights are not, it could indicate a blown fuse, a faulty bulb, or a problem with the wiring specific to the tail lights. Check the tail light bulbs to see if they need replacement, and inspect the associated fuses in the fuse box for any damage. Additionally, there might be an issue with the light switch or a grounding problem in the tail light circuit. If troubleshooting these components doesn't resolve the issue, consulting a professional mechanic may be necessary.
In that case, you probably don't have tail lights or clearance lights either.Check the fuses. If that's not it, you may have a faulty light switch.
