Your texture packs may not work because you are using the incorrect version, so you will need to apply a patch to make them work.
What? No, texture packs only affect mood and color.

Scroll down and click on "Texture packs."
Texture packs are absolutly free, just search minecraft texture packs, and you can download one.
You can't? The only way is to type '%appadata%' in your start menu (or whatever you have) and press enter. Go to '.minecraft'. After that, click 'texture packs' and drag the file into 'texture packs'
mostly but all the things in 1.8 like beef and hunger bar don't show up on the texture packs and neither does the eating animation
find the texture pack you want then download it and put it in the texture packs folder that it shows you on the textures packs screen on minecraft.
All texture packs "work" with minecraft 1.3.2. it is just that the new items (if the pack says 1.2.5 or less) may either be a wrong color, invisible, or default. if it says 1.3.2 it is fine, and will work perfectly.
i think it depends on the what texture pack you get for it
For HD texture packs (over 16x16 in resolution), you have to use either MCPatcher or OptiFine in order for the textures to work and animate correctly.
You can download texture packs and put them in a folder. Make sure to get a realistic texture pack. But keep in mind that it wont look very real but still more real
It doesn't matter whether or not you're on a cracked server. You press "Texture packs" on the main menu, press "Open Texture packs" and then drag the texture pack file to the document window that pops up.
