check for clogged fuel filter, or faulty fuel pump
body parts: 2000-2002 Engine parts: most of them can be swapped from 95-2002 with the same engine.
No it wont, only the 2.2l engine's transmission will work with the 2.2l and same goes with the other engine.
I have a 88 corsica with a 90 cavalier engine in it.

i cna tell you 97 98 acheva 96-99 cavalier 96-99 sunfire 96-98 grand am it has to br a 2.4 engine tho because the starter is in a different place
The Z24 has a 2.4 L engine that is a Dual Overhead Cam engine. The other models have the 2.2 L engine that is Single Overhead Cam engine.
yes their the same engine the only problem you might run into is ac on the other car or your car if not properly done you may not have ac in your current car
It is 1-3-4-2 on the 2.2L OHV engine at least. Not sure about the other engines.
If you mean why the difference in RPMs between idling and driving, the difference is due to the engine load; At idle, the engine isn't really doing much other than staying running, but under load (driving) the engine has to put its power out to the drivetrain, hence the symptomatic loss of engine speed (RPMs).
This is pretty much trivial and up to you and how much work you want to put into it. obviously any of the other base model cavalier engines in the same "generation" interchange easily ie: 2.2l l4 ohc, 2.4l dohc, possibly an Ecotec engine if you have a newer generation Cavalier. the truth is every engine requires some bit of customization with harnessing and wiring and such as long as you can fit the engine in the compartment and on an appropriate transaxle, so whatever engine you want you'll have to build around it with that engine's electronics, specs, etc ...
that depends which wiring do you have the 01 or the 04 if 01 then get the 01 if not get the other
