that happened to mt truck because the door hinges bent down due to the weight of the doors. all you need is some new hinges and you should be good to go.

In the state of Colorado, there is no law that makes it illegal to drive a truck without doors. You would need to be sure you have a rear view mirror however.
I would say the 2001 would win if it was 5.7 vs 5.3 because the newer 5.3 i believe has more horsepower. but it would depend on gearing.
