Does this Blazer have four wheel disc Brakes? NEW ANSWER: There's no reason to bleed brakes if you did not open the system.( where brake fluid came out )
Its got disc brakes in the front, therefor brake pads and its got drum brakes in the back, therefor brake shoes
An 03 would have them all around.
The front brakes are disc brakes and are self adjusting. The rears are drum brakes and are also self adjusting providing the self adjusting mechanism is in working order.
A front popping on the left of a 98 Blazer could be the brakes, steering, or wheel bearing. Check all three to find the cause.
It should be a 3/8" Allen wrench.
tAKE THE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT LOOSE AND SEE IF IT STILL DOES IT IF IT DOES ITS THE FRONT CARRIER ASSEMBLY IF IT DONT ITS THE TRANSFERCASE
There are 4 sensors on the 1995 Chevrolet Blazer. The 2 front for the Disc Brakes is behind the rotors on the hub. The inside hub has gears and the sensors are above them. On the rear, where you have Drum Brakes, the sensors are on the back of the Drum Brake Assembly, next to the bleeder screws.
Front pads (disc brakes) Rear shoes (drum brakes)
The brake caliper is usually the culprit. Either rebuild it or replace it. Its less hassle to replace it than to rebuild, unless you have the expertise.
front front - rear rear.
Brakes operate by generating heat. The usual problem is the driver resting his/her foot on the brake pedal. Over time the brake will overheat. But this will apply equally to at least two brakes, not just the front right. Another point is that u have to separate the bearing overheating and the brake overheating. Did the bearing fail or did the brake overheat and then the bearings fail. Did the brake pad bind and therefore the right front brake overheat due to improper replacement or dirt on the moving parts. Most likely in your case. That particular brake itself could not release and then overheated.
