The on switch for a 1998 Buick Riviera is the ignition switch, located on the steering column. To start the vehicle, insert the key into the ignition, turn it to the "On" position, and then to "Start" to engage the engine. Additionally, ensure that the gear shift is in the "Park" or "Neutral" position for the car to start.
To jump-start a 1999 Buick Riviera, you'll need jumper cables and another vehicle with a functioning battery. First, park the working vehicle close enough for the cables to reach both batteries. Connect the red cable to the positive terminal of the dead battery, then to the positive terminal of the good battery. Next, connect the black cable to the negative terminal of the good battery and attach the other end to a metal ground on the dead vehicle, then start the working vehicle and allow it to charge the dead battery for a few minutes before attempting to start the Riviera.
If your 1990 Buick Riviera cranks but doesn't start, the issue could be related to fuel delivery, spark, or ignition timing. First, check if there's fuel in the tank and that the fuel pump is functioning properly. Next, inspect the spark plugs and ignition system to ensure they are providing a strong spark. If these components are in order, consider issues with the engine's timing or sensors.

To replace the heater core in a 1965 Buick Riviera, start by disconnecting the battery and draining the coolant. Remove the dashboard and any components obstructing access to the heater box. To eliminate the factory alarm on a 1995 Buick Riviera, you can start by disconnecting the battery to reset the system. Next, locate the alarm module, which is usually found under the dash or near the fuse box, and disconnect the wiring harness. If you want a more permanent solution, you can remove the alarm module entirely. However, be cautious as this may affect other electrical systems in the vehicle.
it sounds like your neutral safety switch
