Why would a Browning Sweet Sixteen that was made around 1955 to 1960 have a serial of 0S 58618 which does not fit the numbering convention given on the Browning website?
Between 1958 & 1968, the first digit,0 ,is the year of
manufacture-1960- the S is sweet 16 & the rest of the numbers
are the serial number of that gun. My sweet 16 is also an OS gun
& one of the queries on the preceding page just gave me this
