Check the fan thermostat.
the coolant is low, or the radiator fan switch is not working
Bad Head gasket? Low coolant? Clogged radiator? Bad thermostat? System airbound? Defective radiator cap? Collapsing radiator hoses? Cooling fan not working? Water pump not circulating coolant?
lack of coolant . no cooling fan operation, low engine oil, improper coolant mixture, thermostat stuck, debri on radiator , restriction in cooling system.
If the radiator is cracked then the vehicle has ran dry on coolant. This would cause the radiator to crack if there wasn't any coolant.
coolant temperature switch turns on the fan, if the fan isn't running the car's overheating...it's a sensor mounted in the coolant line that detects coolant temp.
You need a new radiator. Honda put a transmission cooler core inside your radiator so the trans, under "normal operating conditions," won't overheat. If that core starts leaking into the engine coolant...well, there's your problem.
Your car is low on coolant. You need to top off the radiator, wait until the car is cool of course. You may also want to check the system for leaks.
To replace the radiator in a Honda Odyssey you have to drain the coolant out of the old one. Then you unscrew any fasteners and hoses and lift the old radiator out of the van. Place the new radiator into the vehicle, reattach hoses and screws, and refill with new coolant.
Coolant is flushed from the radiator of a 1997 Honda Accord by opening the petcock and allowing the system to drain. The petcock is then closed, the system filled with water, and a flush added to the radiator to cleanse the system.
Coolant is added to the overflow bottle instead of the radiator. The overflow bottle will allow fluid to fill over into the radiator.
The yellow radiator light on your Honda Accord is an indicator of low coolant in the radiator. The red radiator warning light is an indication of the engine overheating.
To change the coolant in a Honda Helix motor scooter, first ensure the engine is cool and then locate the coolant reservoir and radiator. Open the radiator cap and drain the old coolant by removing the drain plug at the bottom of the radiator. Once drained, close the drain plug, refill the radiator with the appropriate type of coolant, and replace the radiator cap. Finally, run the engine for a few minutes to circulate the new coolant and check for leaks.
