Because the color wheel is going bad (it what makes the TV sound like a small airplane taking off). Even if you found a replacement part, I'm told that the color wheel is impossible to properly calibrate, outside of the factory, so your best bet is to turn up the sound.

where is the humming noise coming from? if it's coming thru the speakers and matches the rev tone of the engine, then you have a bad ground in your stereo.

it would most likely be the bearings but in some cases sometimes the axle make a humming noise when traveling at high speeds.(front wheel drive)
