You abuse her and are wondering why she wouldn't want to be around you??? Why would you want to be around someone that abuses you? If she is nice on the phone it could be because she doesn't want you to verbally abuse her on the phone. Interesting question, maybe someone else can answer

No I do not believe it is wrong. What you are basically saying is that the girl is not interested so it wouldn't really bother her. And that the ex-boyfriend is not his friend. Thus making him completely free for you to date without any drama from either.
