Have you checked the fuses? If OK, possible bad fusable link. The fusable link is a piece of wire that acts as a fuse in between the battery and fuse box. In other words, make sure you're getting power to all the fuses in your fuse box. Useing a test light, turn key on and see if the etst light "lights up" at every fuse. If you get no power at the fuse box, most likely a bad fusable link. Why would a fusable link burn out: Look for anything added on to the car like, stereo systems, etc. Sometimes these can over draw the wiring and blow a link. Hope that helps.
headlights
Fuse for parking lights probably blown.
Dodge Rams are not equipped with Daytime running lights.. Although what you can do is turn on the parking lights and select just your fog lights (if equipped) otherwise to have running lights you will need to turn on your headlights. It's not a huge advantage to have running lights, because when the climates come that you need to turn on the headlights anyways, they aren't necessary.
What year is the vehicle? Did you check the fuse?
Turn on your headlights and hazard lights, call 911
Well, the daytime running lights are on whenever the car is running and in gear. They're off when you have the headlights on. So, your service light Doesn't come on when the headlights are on?? If you switch the headlights between on and off (with the car running and in gear) does the service light follow?
Bad socket? Bad ground? Problem in steering column switch?
Driving so fast that your headlights do not give you enough warning to avoid a road hazard.
Try applying parking brake
when you open the door to your vehicle or unlock it with the key FOB, the lights turn on. usually the interior, headlights, and reverse lights shine.
first make sure hazard lights are not on.next you need to ckeck the grounds from the battery.
