Haven't you ever heard of "No representation without representation"? We had no one to represent us against taxes, at least to make them fair. The Brits also took what was ours and hauled it back to bloody England. Like the forests in England, they were wavering in size and timber was sparse so the Brits cut down our American forests where the trees were abundant and shipped them out to England. And the colonies were stuck with wavering supplies. The colonists also didn't really care for equality, there were some who wanted equality with England and they were called torries. And the smart ones, the ones who wanted freedom wanted so much for freedom were called revolutionaries.
