Well I am not sure of the answer if you are wondering how fuels may be different in the next hundred years but if you are wondering how they have changed in the last hundred years it is because they have started using less or now lead and have started adding detergents to try clean carbon out of engines and also have started cutting some gasolines with ethonal to try to make the fuel more efficient. I hope that is the answer that you were looking for if not than sorry for providing usless info.
Future cars may use bio fuels or solar energy and may be run on water power
Gasoline
All cars use fossil fuels somewhere in their energy cycle.
They could make alternative fuels.
Multiple reasons. You wouldn't want to be driving a original Ford, now would you? Reason 1: Speed. Cars were made faster, so people can get more places in less time. Cars at the upper echelon continue to become faster. Reason 2: Safety. Cars are constantly being made more safe, so less people will be injured/killed in the event of a car crash, and less car crashes will occur. Reason 3: Comfort. Cars used to be pretty uncomfortable! Cars are being made more comfortable, for both the passenger and the driver Reason 4: Entertainment. Cars used to not have TV, or satellite radio! Cars are being made more entertaining everyday! Reason 5: Efficiency. Car parts have changed to become more efficient, and have better fuel efficiency as well as lower material costs. Reason 6: Different Fuels: Cars have converted from leaded to unleaded fuels, and even to various electric fuels. These different types of fuels require different parts, and have different performance. Reason 7: Better roads: Roads have become overall better with greater dependence on them. Cars are designed with this in mind. Reason 8: Laws. Laws around the manufacture of cars have continued to change as needs have changed.
No. Most cars use fossil fuels (primarily gasoline and diesel made from oil).
Electricity
There is no need for fossil fuels
they go faster now.
Petrol, diesel and LPG are the main fuels. They are hydrocarbon fossil fuels.
There aren't many cars powered by alternative fuels because some cost more and are hard to make and other fuels don't get you very far.
Indycars and F1 cars use alcohol-based fuels. NASCAR uses high-octane gasolines.
