Either the coolant sensor has failed or there is a bad connector somewhere or the dashboard sensor circuit has failed.
Nothing all overfloo is extra coolant latter the car will be are on the normal level of coolant after a couple miles.of drive.
Nothing will happen if you drain the cooling system and replace the coolant.
Low coolant? Bad thermostat? System airbound? Water pump not circulating coolant?
The engine coolant temperature sensor has nothing to do with the low coolant light. The low coolant sensor is mounted in the bottom of the overflow/filling reservoir by your washer fluid bottle. You will need to verify that the coolant overflow/fill bottle has coolant in it and if it does then the sensor is bad and will have to be replaced.
Your reservoir may be low. This will trigger the coolant light. It is often a malfunctioning sensor and nothing is actually wrong with the cooling system or coolant. It can be easily replaced. Alternatively you can leave it, but monitor your engine temperature and coolant level.
nothing, they are air cooled
Nothing, just don't make a habit of it.
Because your car uses it, nothing lasts forever
engine coolant willleak from hose if you remove,it. if nothing comes out, then obviously there is not enuff coolant in the system to operate correctly
Yes it may be at a stage where the coolant pressure does not cause the exhaust to emit the steam until journeying for a time. hope Im helping but have you also checked all coolnt hoses? I don't see my comments from min. ago. If comes up, forgive me; I asked same obvious coolant hose ques. But added are there any puddles? Or slick areas on block or elsewhere?
Yes you can. A cracked block does not necessarily mean the car will overheat. If a block is cracked at a coolant jacket then coolant will leak out and the car will overheat if the leak is bad enough. If the leak is not very major or if the crack is at a point that does not have a coolant jacket then it will not overheat. A cracked block could leak oil, compressed air/fuel, coolant, or nothing at all and still be cracked. -R. Mesyef
Your thermostat has nothing to do with your coolant light. Your thermostat, if bad, would make your van run extremely hot, or not heat up at all. Your coolant light is probably a bad sending unit or ground.
