Bad head gasket
Cracked head
Cracked block
Thermostat possibly stuck open. Another possibility is the heater core is clogged. I would recommend you perform a complete cooling system service. Drain and flush the system with the heater set to high. Replace the thermostat, and install a 50/50 mix of coolant and distilled water. Bleed all air from the system.
Probably because you have a blown head gasket. Get a compression check done to be sure.
Regular green antifreeze of any manufacturer will be fine in a 50-50 mix with water
50 50 coolant is what i use- would suggest no more han a 60 40 mix.
no
you always should mix coolant with water if it is full coolant. most coolant today says 50/50 on the package and is pre mixed in which case no, but if it is straight 100% coolant, yes mix with water.
The GM vehicles use the DexCool anti-freeze. There is a replacement type of antifreeze that can be used in GM vehicles but you cannot mix them with the DexCool. To change to another type of antifreeze the cooling system should be completely flushed of the old coolant. I would advise keeping the same coolant as the manufacturer provides
50/50 mix of water and coolant is recommended.50/50 mix of water and coolant is recommended.
You should not mix colors or brands of coolant.
most coolant is 50/50 mix. however in arctic climate it is 50/70 mix
Coolant can mix with the gas in the combustion chamber. This will happen if you have a blown head gasket or cracked head. Symptoms are white sweet smelling smoke at the exhaust, loss of coolant with no apparent leak, miss on one or more cylinders, & loss of power.
I would use the Honda pre-mix.
