Clarity of vision is in the focus of the image through the lens to the retina. If suddenly it was better, I would get the pressure in the eye checked to make sure it was not too high. You would not feel bad if it was mildly elevated and not know you had glaucoma. But the focus distance might be better so you see more clearly. If glaucoma or even a minor pressure change is not involved, it's possible that other normal changes to the shape of the lens due to age may overcome existing problems. For example, an eye that has had astigmatism may seem to get better as that eye becomes nearsighted, or as the lens becomes stiffer. More than likely this will simply mean your eyeglass prescription will need to be adjusted in different ways, for example, by going to bifocals, even though that eye will seem to be better without glasses. It's also possible that, if you've changed optometrists recently, your new optometrist knows better how to treat your condition than your previous one.
